Congratulations to Brian Kelm, 34 year blues DJ on KRCL (www.krcl.org), mainstage Emcee on all Blues Cruises (www.bluescruise.com), disability attorney, and certified blues junkie being nominated and voted unanimously on 3/23/24 as the inaugural President of the new Utah Blues Society.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 7 pm at the new “Bleu Bistro” 1600 S. Foothill Blvd, SLC, 84108 (30 feet North of the Foothill Liquor Store) – this is Marci & Carl Weyant’s new establishment (former proprietors of The Sun & Moon Cafe, now closed). They probably won’t even be open for business yet but will be close and you’ll be able to preview their vision for an awesome restaurant and venue to host big time blues!!!! In that regard, Bleu Bistro was to be open and have Steepwater on 3/24,25 and Curtis Salgado 3/31, 4/1 but since the City’s red tape has delayed the opening, these shows will be one night only each: Steepwater on Tues. 3/25 and Curtis Salgado on Tues. 4/1 at the Utah Arts Alliance on 663 West 100 South!
